/wp-adminto the end of your site’s url (e.g.: example.wordpress.com/wp-admin). You must have Admin priviledges to access the WP Admin Dashboard.
Step 1: Enter your API credentials
In order to display the IDX data within your WordPress website you must enter the API credentials. You will find the API credentials in the email sent after purchasing the website. The API credentials consist of an AGENT ID, API KEY and API Server. The information can be entered into the RWS IDX Plugin settings page. From the WordPress admin dashboard, you must select RWS IDX -> Settings. On the setting page you will find the AGENT ID, API KEY and API Server fields. After entering the information you must click save. After you have entered the new API credentials the RWS API STATUS should display Active.
Step 2: Update WordPress and Plugins
We recommend you update WordPress and all out-dated Plugins. You can do this from the Dashboard -> Updates. Not all WordPress installs require updates, but we suggest checking. Updating WordPress is very straight forward, just click the update button.
Step 3: Change the General Settings
After performing an update, you should change the General Settings to include the Website Title, WordPress Address (URL), and Site Address (URL). After changing your settings you must click the save changes button.
Step 4: Update Profile for RWS IDX Plugin
You can update your contact info using the Profile feature. The profile settings are stored on the RWS API Server. Information entered in the profile will be used throughout the plugin, including for the Autoresponder template tags.
Step 5: Update WordPress Content
You will want to update your content to reflect your services and areas of expertise. We recommend going through the website page by page to ensure all information is correct and displaying properly.
