According to FPL, thier workforce of more than 21,000 continues to work around the clock, and to that end, FPL says they have now restored power to nearly 90% of their customers affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Ian. However, some FPL customers in Southwest Florida are still suffering catastrophic loss. FPL is now converging their crews to focus on restoration efforts in that area.

While extensive tree damage and flooding continue to pose restoration challenges, FPL expects to have power essentially restored to 95% of their customers who can safely accept power by 11:59 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7. FPL says that their customer’s power could come on sooner, so be sure to check FPL.com and the FPL Mobile App for updated restoration times. The system is updated several times a day.
